Mobile Makers: Present Day Artists and Artisans of Carnival is the fifth exhibit in the Mobile Carnival Museum's thematic quarterly series. This exhibit celebrates a selection of those creatives who define the art of Mardi Gras and the art scene of the city in which it was born. The show features twenty-eight artists/artisans and eighteen mystics societies. Embracing the fine, decorative, and applied arts, "Mobile Makers" has something for everyone in the look of it and stories behind each artwork in it. Notable works include the large float sculpture of Baloo and Mowgli from The Jungle Book by Craig Stephens of Carnival Arts, regalia by Tommy Cain of Dynasty collections, invitations, float designs, trains, and numerous other works of artworks. Text panels for each artist are situated in proximity to their creations.
