King Felix’s eighteen foot train is made of American Beauty red cotton velvet. It was created in the style of Louis XV and spans nine feet at the bottom. Centered are two rampant lions with green emerald eyes and ruby tongues. The lion holds an exact replica of the family crest, and the torches above are from the family crest as well. You can see this in the photograph to your right of the family-owned Van Antwerp building that still stands on Royal Street in downtown Mobile. His crown is an early European gothic design of four clusters of large, round Tiffany-cut Austrian crystals, and alternating stones of topaz, sapphire, and ruby. His scepter is of a matching design.
